TALKING POINT ... Cech let rip at team-mates
PETR CECH led an angry dressing-room inquest as squabbling Chelsea stars argued over Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at West Brom.
The Blues keeper demanded answers following another defensive shambles which leaves the European champions without a clean sheet in their last nine games.
And one player was heard to furiously scream: “That’s f****** rubbish and you know it!”
Blues boss Roberto Di Matteo admits he is becoming increasingly alarmed about his team’s defending after dropping 10 points in their last four league games.
Now that anxiety has spread to his feuding players after slipping further behind leaders
Manchester City in the title race.
Centre-half David Luiz admitted: “We were angry and upset after the game on Saturday because we should have won.
“It’s normal to have raised voices after a result like that because this is a big club and we don’t like losing.
“We had the chances to win but we missed the moment and all we can do now is look ahead to the next game.”
Chelsea fly to Turin today for a crucial Champions League group game against Juventus tomorrow night.
If they lose they will drop to third place in Group E and face almost certain elimination from the competition they won for the first time in their history last season.
BLACK DAY ... Chelsea flop at West Brom
And Di Matteo is planning a mass shake-up of his team and tactics in a desperate bid to keep out the Italian league leaders. He said: “Clean sheets give you a chance to win games and we certainly have to improve on that side.
“Defensively we just weren’t good enough. Of course we miss John Terry at the back. He is an important player for us.
“He gives us a lot of confidence at the back and in general to the team.”
Looking ahead to tomorrow's clash, Luiz added: “Juve are a great team and this is the most important game in the group for us.
“They are just one point behind us and we cannot afford to lose.
“Things are not good at the moment because we were top of the league and we can never forget how important the Premier League is.
“In two or three games everything could change and Chelsea could be fighting for first place again.
“But right now we are only thinking about our next game against Juventus.”
Ashley Cole, Juan Mata, Ramires, Branislav Ivanovic and Oscar are all set to return to the starting line-up tomorrow but Terry and Frank Lampard are both out injured.
