Mancini, who hopes to drive his side to Champions League victory against Real Madrid this week, said: “We’ve started to play and our strikers have scored six goals in the last two games.
We have missed that from the strikers.
“It was a good performance but we can still improve. But, like I said after we beat Tottenham last week, I am starting to see the spirit of last year.
“Now on Wednesday we play against one of the best teams in the world, with a fantastic history.
“We want to do a good job — we don’t have much of a chance to go through but we will try.”
