ROBERTO DI MATTEO has admitted he would love to land £48million Colombian striker Radamel Falcao.

And that could spell the end at Chelsea for £50m flop Fernando Torres.

Atletico Madrid ace Falcao, 26, is on Di Matteo’s wishlist after scoring 49 goals from just 58 appearances.

Blues boss RDM said: “Falcao is one of the best strikers in the world.

"His ratio of goals per game is quite impressive not just this season but over the last three years at Porto and Atletico Madrid.

“If you ask any manager, he would have him in his team. I know the window’s nearing and there’ll be a lot of speculation for our club.”

Sources in Spain believe Torres could even move back to his beloved Atletico as part of the deal.

Falcao is also being tracked by Manchester City but appears keen on a switch to London and has admitted Blues legend Gianfranco Zola was his hero.
