Rayo Vallecano boss Paco Jemez has ordered his players to ignore the league table ahead of a meeting with a Celta Vigo side he believes are in a false position.

Celta are currently 15th in the Primera Division standings after following up a positive start to the season with a run of three games without a win.

But with two of those three coming against Real Madrid and Barcelona, Jemez reckons the Galicians remain a top-half outfit.

"When I see them play I think their position does not correspond to their game," he said in remarks reported by mundodeportivo.com. "They are better than that.

"At the start they had good results but since then things have not always gone their way.

"I like what they do and how they do it."

Rayo are three points and four places better off than Celta after a surprise 2-1 win at Malaga last weekend.

And Jemez is hoping his men can add to Celta's poor away record which has seen them lose all five road games this season.

"We are going to try to continue that streak," he said. "But Saturday's game will be more complicated if we do not start off with the right mindset.

"The thing for us is to forget about the Malaga game and focus on a tough fixture against Celta."

Jemez picked out Celta forward Iago Aspas as the man his players need to keep quiet to get the three points.

"Aspas is very intelligent in the area and makes decisions quickly," he said. "We need to be careful with him because a lapse in concentration and he will be able to capitalise."

Celta boss Paco Herrera will be hopeful captain Borja Oubina is passed fit.

Oubina has missed training this week and is a major doubt for the trip to Vallecas.
