Manchester City offer trial to Asian Young Footballer of the Year

Manchester City have offered a trial to Japanese starlet Hideki Ishige.

TalkSPORT revealed in October that City boss Roberto Mancini had been monitoring Ishige, who is the current Asian Young Footballer of the Year.

Sources in Japan claim City have now firmed up their interest with the offer of a trial, and
Shimizi S-Pulse manager Afshin Ghotbi has admitted he will not stop the 18-year-old from going to Manchester.

He said: "If you want to build top players you have to give them the opportunity to gain experience."
