Man City and Chelsea set sights on Ukrainian youngster

Manchester City and Chelsea will fight it out with Bayern Munich for young goalkeeper Igor Berezovsky.

The 22-year-old shot-stopper is getting rave reviews in goal for Ukrainian First League side Obolon Kiev following their relegation from the top flight last season.

The 6ft 4in Berezovsky is seen as one of the most talented young goalkeepers in Europe and is expected to be promoted to the full Ukraine squad, from their Under-21 side, for the World Cup
qualifiers against Poland and Moldova in March.

Man City boss Roberto Mancini views the Ukrainian as the ideal back up for first choice Joe Hart, while Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo will want him to challenge Petr Cech, who has been less than convincing during the last 18 months.
