Giovani dos Santos: Jonathan can succeed at Barcelona

The Mexico international has talked up his brother's chances of becoming a first team regular for the Blaugrana, and is looking forward to taking on his former club in November
Mallorca attacker Giovani dos Santos believes his younger sibling Jonathan has what it takes to succeed at Barcelona.
Giovani, 23, opted to leave Barca for Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2008 in an attempt to get regular first team football elsewhere, but he has urged Jonathan, 22, not to walk the same path and to remain patient and wait for his chance.
"The best thing for Jonathan to do is to remain patient. Time will tell what he can achieve. I believe that he will get chances to prove his worth," Giovani told Goal.com.
"Barcelona have a lot of quality in his position. He must try and learn as much as possible from them on a daily basis. He is still young and has a lot of quality as well.
"I am confident that he will show what he can do when he get the chance to prove his worth."
The Mexico international then looked ahead to the match between Mallorca and Barcelona on November 10, and expects a difficult encounter.
"We all know that it will be a difficult game," he admitted.
"Barcelona are the best team around at the moment with some great players. We will have to work very hard, study Barcelona well, and put in a perfect performance."
Giovani has made two appearances for Los Bermellones so far this term.
