Soldado: It was a must-win game

The Spain striker has talked up the importance of Los Che's win, and believes that his team should treat the remaining group games as 'finals'
Valencia attacker Roberto Soldado wants the Costa Blanca outfit to push on after he scored a hat-trick against BATE Borisov in the Champions League on Tuesday, which helped his side to a comfortable victory in Belarus.
Three second-half Soldado goals were enough for the Spanish side, who sit top of Group F on goal difference with both BATE and Bayern Munich, with all three teams on six points after three games.
"First, collectively, we've needed to win away from home for a long time," explained the striker, speaking to sportyou.es.
"Individually, it was an important game for me too. Getting goals is always critical for a striker, and that is even more the case in the Champions League. I just hope I can do it in the league so that we can climb the table.
The Spain international then went on to explain how the score-line was important, and how he hopes Los Che will approach the rest of their European campaign.
"Now we have the goal difference in our favour. The match was a final and the rest of the games will be too. At Mestalla we have to win both of our remaining games, and if we succeed, we will qualify," he said.
