I have a say

Dynamo Moscow fans have shown how angry they are about their team's poor start to the season by firing paintballs at them during a training session.

The club have lost eight of their opening 11 Russian Premier League fixtures and are languishing fourth bottom of the table.

Last month, graffiti appeared on walls close to Dynamo's training ground warning the squad to stop dishonouring the club's name.

It seems a militant group of supporters don't believe the players have followed that advice, as they stepped up their protests on Friday.

Dressed in camouflage, they turned up at the training ground and fired paintballs at the players, hitting several of them in the head.

They also threw leaflets on to the pitch warning that there would be further direct action if results do not improve, reports RIA Novosti.

One of the flyers read: 'If the club and the coaches can't motivate you, then believe us, we will do it. And our methods will be a little more serious.'

Dynamo midfielder Alan Gatagov was left shocked by the attack.

'What should we do? Should each of us hire a personal bodyguard? I was hit in the back of the head when they shot at us, lots of players were hit,' he said.

'I didn't even realise what they were shooting with, perhaps paintballs, they were in camouflage and fled pretty quickly. It was vile.'

Dynamo subsequently issued a statement condemning the action and promising to respond in the 'toughest possible manner' the law allows them to.

The official supporters club also criticised the attack and vowed to help the police track down the culprits.
