Andrew Jackson scored twice as Brechin eased to a 3-0 win over Stranraer.

City striker Jackson got the ball rolling in the 27th minute when he stroked the ball past Stranraer goalkeeper David Mitchell from the heart of the penalty area.

He doubled his tally just four minutes later when he found the bottom corner from a similar position after good work from fellow striker Kurtis Byrne.

Stranraer flew out of the blocks in the second half and almost reduced the deficit within five minutes, but Robert Love's close-range effort was blocked bravely by defender Ewan Moyes.

David McKenna made it 3-0 in the 65th minute when he gathered from Paul McLean's pass and struck an unstoppable effort past Mitchell from 18 yards.
