Massimiliano Allegri: AC Milan coach has been backed by vice-president Adriano Galliani
Adriano Galliani has reiterated AC Milan's faith in coach Massimiliano Allegri following the club's disappointing start to the season.
Milan have collected just seven points from their opening seven Serie A games and lie 11th in the table, already 10 points adrift of the leaders.
The Rossoneri headed into the international break on the back of a 1-0 defeat by city rivals Inter and travel to third-placed Lazio this weekend.
Malaga then await in the UEFA Champions League, but vice-president Galliani is adamant the upcoming games will not determine Allegri's future.
"Allegri's last game for the club won't be against Lazio in Rome or against Malaga, or against Genoa at the San Siro (the following weekend)," Galliani said on the club's official website.
"The club will continue with the coach that has put the most points on the table in Italian football for the past two-and-a-half years.
"Inter (Milan) ended last season with 22 points less than Milan and no one mentions that. The same is true for Juventus two seasons ago."
