Albion Rovers will be without Barry Russell and Peter Innes when Arbroath arrive at Cliftonhill.

The pair are suspended as Rovers look for their first win in four games.

Goalkeeper Chris McCluskey returns to manager Todd Lumsden's squad after a back operation but defender Kevin Greene will miss out due to a stomach injury.

Lumsden said: "We were very unlucky at Ayr in our last game as we missed a chance in the last minute and then they went up the park and got a penalty.

"There is no point worrying about it as it is history but I have told the players to remember how well we played.

"If we can play like that again we will win more matches than we lose and hopefully that will start against Arbroath."

Arbroath will again be without first-choice goalkeeper Darren Hill.

Hill has a broken arm and is unavailable to manager Paul Sheerin along with defender Michael Travis, who has joined non-league side Musselburgh on loan.

Arbroath will be looking to bounce back from their Ramsdens Cup semi-final defeat to Queen of the South last weekend.

Sheerin said: "After a slow start to the game last Sunday I was really pleased with how we played and, whilst it was a sore one, I am sure that we will recover quickly.

"If we get our attitude right against an Albion Rovers side that have given us problems on their own patch over the past couple of seasons then I am sure we can head up the road with three points."
