Wayne Rooney reveals compensation for England fans

WAYNE ROONEY went on Twitter last night to promise England fans that the players and the FA would cover the cost of their tickets.

He tweeted: “The players’ @EFFCharity & @FA will cover ticket costs of every fan in the stadium 2nite. Thx 2 every1 of them 4 their amazing support.”

England skipper Steven Gerrard added: “We don’t take their support for granted.”

Fellow midfielder James Milner said: “It is a nice gesture that they will get their tickets paid for.

“Maybe they will all have better weather when they get to Brazil!”
