Kaka not giving up on La Liga title

Real Madrid midfielder Kaka believes that his side are still in the running to defend their league title despite the eight-point gap behind leaders Barcelona.
Real Madrid's stuttered to the start of the new campaign, falling to defeats against Osasuna and Sevilla while Barcelona maintained a 100% win record to go eight points clear prior to the Clasico clash between the two Spanish giants on Sunday, which ended in a 2-2 draw at Camp Nou.
The draw maintained the gap between both sides but Kaka felt that it is a positive result for his side, especially given that Cristiano Ronaldo's brace managed to gift them the lead.
He told Marca: "We had a great game, but we didn't kill it off.
"The eight point gap is still worrying, but slightly less so after playing at the Camp Nou.
"It can't be said that the title race is over, of course it can't. There's a lot left to play for and we're going to fight to the end."
Kaka's former side AC Milan are also struggling to kick off their campaign and currently lie 12 points off joint leaders Juventus and Napoli in the Serie A but he believes that the Rossoneri can rebound from the poor start as well, predicting that they will be dark horses in the Champions League.
"Milan will be the loose cannon of the Champions League," said the Brazil international.
"The victory against Zenit St. Petersburg is clear with regard to the league, Allegri's team is late but must not give up.
"We [Real Madrid] are also eight points behind Barcelona in the table but we still believe.
"The world must have faith in the Rossoneri and give them time to build a new team."
