The Denmark international is one of Europe’s hottest properties, with several sides thought to be interested in a move for the 20-year-old playmaker, while Liverpool are eyeing him as a potential replacement for Steven Gerrard.

Ajax had to fend off a host of enquiries in the summer transfer window and look set to have another fight on their hands in
January, but Eriksen says a switch is not on his mind at the present time.

‘It is great that such big clubs are interested,’ he said.

‘It is very special for me but I am not contemplating various transfer scenarios in any way at the moment.’

But the midfielder, who was named Dutch Football Talent of the Year and Danish Footballer of the Year in 2011, refused to be drawn on his long-term future.

‘We don't really know right now. It all depends on how the season unfolds,’ he added.
