The Portuguese boss lavished praise on the pair after their virtuoso performances in what he felt was an entertaining game for all to see
Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho lauded Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo after the pair netted twice in Los Blancos’ 2-2 draw with Barcelona in a riveting Clasico encounter.
The Portuguese coach was positive about his side's performance despite failing to close the gap on their fiercest rivals and admitted he enjoyed the match - especially the talismanic pair's displays.
“Messi and Ronaldo are from another planet. I want my player to win, but they are both fantastic,” enthused Mourinho.
“As a coach, I’ve enjoyed the game. It was a great match and the result wasn’t decided until the final moment. Everyone has enjoyed the game too."
Mourinho also reserved special words of praise for the performance of Mesut Ozil, telling reporters: “Ozil provided us with quality and had a great match.”
The result sees Barcelona remain on top of the Liga table with a lead of three points, while maintaining their eight point gap over fifth place Madrid after seven games.
