May day helps Hamilton

Hamilton secured their first victory of the season in emphatic fashion as they beat Airdrie 4-0.

All the goals were scored in the last 23 minutes as Airdrie saw their winless run stretch to six games.

Ali Crawford broke the deadlock in the 67th minute as he tapped home from six yards from Steve May's cross.

Louis Longridge doubled the lead five minutes later as he met Jon Routledge's cross with a powerful header from close range.

May added the third with eight minutes left as tucked a low drive into the far corner from the right side of the penalty area.

May then won a penalty with two minutes left after being fouled by Michael Hart and May picked himself up to tuck the spot-kick into the bottom-left corner to round off the victory.
