NEW BOY ... Santi Cazorla has been revelation at Arsenal this season

SANTI CAZORLA has begged Arsenal fans NOT to hail him as the new Cesc Fabregas.

The pint-sized midfielder has been a revelation since his £16million summer move to London from Malaga.

And his silky displays have had Gooners likening him to former Emirates hero Fab, who left for Barcelona 14 months ago.

But Cazorla, 27, declared: “Please don’t compare me with Cesc Fabregas. I am Cazorla and not Cesc. It’s not possible to compare because our styles are different.

“Now I’m here I have noticed that Cesc is a symbol for this club and I am far away from being that. I spoke with him before signing — and other colleagues in the Spanish team. My choice was clear.”

Cazorla has helped Arsenal to an impressive start in the Premier League and two wins in the Champions League.

He added: “I am very happy with my first weeks with Arsenal.

“It was such a joy to be nominated as player of month, that’s an incentive to work even harder.”
