Stenhousemuir will be without defender Scott Buist for their clash with East Fife at Ochilview.

Buist is sidelined with a groin injury, but midfielder Eric Paton could be involved for the first time this season following a hip problem and on-loan Celtic youngster Robbie Thomson remains in goal in place of the injured Callum Reidford.

Manager Martyn Corrigan said: "East Fife had a good result last weekend and scored six goals, so we need to be on our guard as they will be coming here with a bit more confidence.

"We had a very good record against them last season and hopefully that can continue in this meeting.

"We drew with Arbroath last weekend as we were not ruthless enough in front of goal and hopefully we can show that we've put that right."

East Fife's new loan signing Callum Antell could make his debut in goal for the club.

First-choice goalkeeper Michael Brown is still absent with a calf injury, so acting manager Gordon Chisholm has drafted in Antell, who had a temporary spell with East Stirling last season, on loan from Hibernian.

The Fifers are also without Andrew Cook, while Darren Smith and Craig Johnstone are both injury doubts.

"Stenhousemuir have really good strikers and big John Gemmell is someone who leads their line very well indeed," said Chisolm.

"We showed signs last week at Stranraer that things were knitting together and hopefully we can build on that at Ochilview."
