Hamilton have still not won a game in Division One this season after they were beaten 3-0 by Dunfermline.
Three second-half goals saw the Pars record their fifth straight league win.
After a goalless first 45, the away side sprang to life just two minutes into the second period, Stephen Jordan got to the byline to cross for Ryan Wallace, who fired in a low effort from 15 yards out.
The striker grabbed his second in the 70th minute.
Joe Cardle cut in from the right flank and found Wallace free in the area as he angled a low drive into the bottom corner.
Substitute Ryan Thomson rounded off the victory one minute from time as he headed home Stephen Husband's cross from close range.
