Queen of the South boss Allan Johnston will have an unchanged squad when Alloa visit Palmerston Park.

Johnston will pick from the same group of players that were unlucky to lose 1-0 to SPL side Dundee United in the Scottish Communities League Cup in midweek.

Johnston, who only has striker Kevin Smith unavailable due to a knock, is expecting his league leaders to bounce back from their first defeat of the season.

He said: "It was a terrific performance from us and now that we know the standard we can reach it should help us throughout the rest of the season.

"Alloa will be tough opponents and opponents I expect to be up near the top at the end of the season. They have a good squad and they will travel here full of confidence after winning well against Stranraer last Saturday."M

Alloa include talented teenager Noel Makombo-Eboma in their squad.

The French striker, 16, has recovered from an injury sustained in a Youth Cup tie and has been passed fit.

Kevin Cawley is another striker set to be included after overcoming the injury he suffered in the 3-0 win over Stranraer last weekend.

The Wasps are also hoping that Ryan McCord makes the trip after he shook off a virus.

Ahead of the game, manager Paul Hartley said: "We lost down there 5-2 at the start of the season in a Scottish Communities League Cup tie but that has no bearing on this game.

"We can go there with confidence and, whilst it will be tough, our aim is to have a real go at them."
