A late penalty from Marco Borriello, who had earlier missed from the spot, earned Genoa a 1-1 against Parma at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
Former Genoa defender Alessandro Lucarelli put Parma in front in the 28th minute and Borriello missed the chance to level in the 67th minute when he hit the post from the penalty spot.
He made amends three minutes from time, though, scoring a penalty which earned the Rossoblu a point in front of their own fans.
Genoa had the first chance of the game in the 12th minute when Ciro Immobile found himself with only Antonio Mirante to beat, but the Italy Under-21 international sent his shot into the side-netting.
Two minutes later, it was Borriello who set up Immobile for another glorious opportunity, and this time he went for a more delicate lobbed finish, but Mirante was able to push the ball away.
Parma's first chance arrived in the 20th minute when Cristian Zaccardo's header was punched away by Sebastien Frey.
The hosts took the lead eight minutes later thanks to Zaccardo's central defensive partner Lucarelli, who scored against his former club.
Genoa failed to fully clear a corner and the ball fell out to Lucarelli on the edge of the area and his shot on the half-volley was threaded into the far corner.
The hosts had the chance to level midway through the second half when a penalty was awarded for a handball by Galloppa inside the area.
Borriello, the scorer of Genoa's winner at Lazio on Sunday, stepped up to the spot, but he sent the ball against the post.
Despite the miss, the home side remained in the ascendancy with Immobile squandering another chance moments later.
Their pressure finally paid off when they earned another spot-kick when Lucarelli committed a foul inside the area.
Borriello bravely stepped up for the second time, and this time he made no mistake to earn Genoa a point in the 87th minute.
