Torino vs Udinese preview - Ventura targets improvements

Torino head coach Giampiero Ventura has targeted the areas his side need to improve on ahead of their Serie A match against Udinese at the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday.
Torino ended Sampdoria's 100% league record this season when they held them to a 1-1 draw on Sunday and will now face Udinese, who claimed their first win at the weekend with a 2-1 victory over AC Milan.
Ventura, while satisfied with his side's recent results, has pinpointed improvements he wants to make both up front and in midfield.
"I'm pleased with the performance of the team, a little less than the result," Ventura told Gazzetta Dello Sport following the Sampdoria result.
"During the game we produced seven or eight incredible opportunities to score but we missed the last step.
"It is a matter of where we need to improve, because in Serie A if you give away too many chances in midfield then surely you will pay. We wanted to understand who we are and the game [against Sampdoria] says that we are a team that has been able to keep up with their high quality, substance and physical strength."
Torino and Udinese both have four points to show from their first four games in Serie A, with Ventura's side narrowly holding the edge on goal difference.
Udinese coach Francesco Guidolin is hoping his team will gel quickly and find the winning formula.
"Last season we were a different side," Guidolin told Football Italia.
"The squad has changed and naturally it takes time to make it work, but we do not have time because we face a tough fixture list and the Europa League.
"Our objective must be to pick up points that can help us achieve safety."
