Brechin vs Queen of the South preview - Brechin duo miss out

I have a say

Brechin host in-form Queen of the South without midfield pair Craig Molloy and Ryan Stewart.

Molloy and Stewart picked up injuries in a bruising derby contest with Forfar last weekend.

Glebe Park manager Jim Weir believes a hard task is now even steeper with the duo missing.

"You want everyone you have available when you are facing the league leaders who have not lost a game all season," he said.

"Unfortunately we will be missing two starters after a game that I still feel sore about.

"Decisions really went against us and when you lose players and points it is never a good day.

"We have to put that behind us and whilst it will be a difficult game we will go out and give it our best shot."

Queen of the South can call on winger Willie Gibson this weekend.

Gibson's suspension for his dismissal in Tuesday night's penalty shoot-out success over Rangers is to be served in the Ramsdens Cup competition.

Everyone else is available to manager Allan Johnston who is warning his men to keep their feet on the ground.

He said: "We have a few tired legs but we need to be right physically and mentally for Brechin.

"The cup win was great but it is gone now and this is our priority and we need to be careful as Brechin are a good side and Andy Jackson is a striker on form."

"Good teams win game after game and we have to show that we can do that."
