FIGHTING FIT ... Sergio Aguero could be back to face Real Madrid after this injury against Southampton
MANCHESTER CITY are ready to gamble on the fitness of title-winning hero Sergio Aguero in the Bernabeu tomorrow.
The Argentine star has been sidelined since injuring his knee in the opening day win over Southampton.
But he has responded well to treatment and should feature in the Champions League clash with Real Madrid.
The former Atletico man is desperate to play again in the Spanish capital and boss Roberto Mancini decided not to rush him back for Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Stoke at the Britannia Stadium.
The City chief said: “Sergio will travel with us. He worked with the team in the last three days before the Stoke game.
“We didn’t want to take any risks with him — but maybe he can be ready for Madrid.
“Will he start? I don’t know. After Stoke he has two days working with the team so I think he will have a chance.”
Mancini was fuming that his record £38million signing had to fly to Argentina for checks during the international break.
However the long flights do not appear to have affected him too much and he is fit again just four weeks after his injury.
