SOCCER ace Michael Owen chuckled in front of his hi-tech security TV screens as he watched a burglar trying to break into his mansion.

The 32-year-old former England striker even posted a picture of the crime scene on TWITTER.

The ex-Liverpool and Manchester United star wrote: “Great TV tonight.

“Been watching some fella on my cameras for an hour weighing up what to nick!”

Police soon arrived at the home in Soughton, North Wales, which Owen shares with his wife Louise and their four children.

Owen — who now plays for Stoke City — watched from his living room as officers grabbed the thief who had been hiding in the boot of his van.

The striker tweeted: “Watched it all laughing my head off as the police returned to drag him out. Big thanks to police.”
