Osasuna vs Mallorca preview - Armenteros hopes to make debut

Osasuna winger Emiliano Armenteros believes his side need to improve their finishing in front of goal if they are to get their first win of the season at home to Mallorca this weekend.

Los Rojillos are one of just two sides still without a point after three games of the Primera Division campaign, but the Argentinian is confident that the results will come once they get things right in the final third.

He told the club's website: "All we have lacked is scoring goals. The team has been doing things well and the idea is to continue along the lines of the first two games.

"If we continue without scoring then things will get complicated. Football is about results and to play well without scoring doesn't mean anything. We want to win and this would bring us some calmness."

The 26-year-old is also hopeful of making his first appearance since moving from Sevilla in the summer after overcoming an injury that has kept him out of action so far.

"I feel good," he said. "I have now had two weeks training with the group and although I lack a little physically I am available for selection should the manager select me."

Osasuna will, though, be without the suspended duo of Patxi Punal and Alejandro Arribas, so Lolo could come into central defence with Anthony Annan continuing in midfield.

In contrast to the hosts, Mallorca could equal their best ever start to a Primera Division season with a win at El Sadar. Joaquin Caparros' men have taken seven points from a possible nine so far, but striker Tomer Hemed insists they cannot relax just yet.

He told the club's website: "The manager never lets us relax and we are always ready for every game.

"This game is no different, we know we arrive with seven points and them with zero but we can't be complacent. I am sure every one of us will give everything."

Mallorca's match-winner last time out against Real Sociedad, Victor Casadesus, is a slight doubt after he failed to complete a training session on Friday but should he make it then Caparros is expected to name an unchanged side.
