Peter Weatherson scored twice as Morton survived a late comeback to defeat Cowdenbeath 4-3.
Morton took the lead after six minutes when Weatherson got on the end of Scott Taggart's cross to head into the bottom left corner, and he doubled the lead midway through the first half by neatly converting a David Graham cross from 12 yards.
Cowdenbeath pulled one back after 40 minutes, John Armstrong heading Marc McKenzie's cross high into the goal.
Archie Campbell swept home David O'Brien's cross within a minute of the restart to double the lead and the latter hammered home a fourth nine minutes later.
Mark Ramsay poked in from close range after 82 minutes, and Jamie Stevenson stooped to head in from close range in injury time, but Morton held on.
