Anton: I will snub Terry

ROW ... Anton Ferdinand and John Terry square up in game last season
ANTON FERDINAND will refuse to shake John Terry’s hand this afternoon.
The QPR star has no intention of making peace with JT over their race-row case.
Ferdinand has spoken to QPR players about the situation — but he accepts each player will make his own decision over whether to shake the Chelsea skipper’s hand.
SunSport has already revealed Bobby Zamora will because he regards JT as a friend and the infamous incident last autumn happened before he arrived at the club.
Premier League chiefs issued a statement yesterday insisting the pre-match ritual will go ahead as normal.
And Rangers boss Mark Hughes says his players will have the final say on whether they shake Terry’s hands.
Hughes said: “Everyone has a mind of their own and will make a personal decision.
“We’ve had a discussion with the players but that’s between myself and them. It is unfortunate they are put in a situation where it is put in the public domain.
“I have got my view on handshakes before games and the people at the Premier League know my feelings.”
Hughes has called for the Premier League to scrap pre-match handshakes for good.
He added: “The thing is, it’s about the Respect campaign and we all fully support the Respect campaign.
“I think it’s done fantastic work and it is to be commended.
“But maybe this part of showing respect is, at times, fundamentally flawed. On the occasions it was scrapped last season I thought it helped the situation.
“Everyone shook hands at the end and it wasn’t a problem.”
