Arsenal and Manchester United check up on Leicester starlet Liam Moore

Hot prospect: Liam Moore of Leicester

The 19-year-old, who is widely regarded as one of the best young defenders outside of the top flight, has made a firm assault on the Leicester first-team this season, having impressed whilst on-loan at Bradford City last year.

Moore played 22 times for Bradford in League Two, and looked to have matured as a player, before going on to finish the season with a handful of run outs for Leicester.

However, this season he has established himself as a regular member of the squad, and has been watched by scouts from Manchester United, Tottenham, Everton and Aston Villa in recent weeks.

But they are not alone, with Arsenal now joining the sides who have looked at the promising centre back, who can also play at right-back and in midfield.

The Gunners had representatives at Saturday's 1-0 win over Blackpool, where Moore collected a clean sheet and turned in a promising display.

It is understood that Leicester value Moore at around £5 million, and would be willing to do business in January.

A fast, strong and aggressive defender, Moore is a regular for England's Under-19's.
