DAVID BECKHAM proved a point to the doubters with a classic free-kick in LA Galaxy’s 2-0 victory over play-off rivals Vancouver.
After insisting he had no intention of retiring, the 37-year-old got his sixth goal in eight games.
Boss Bruce Arena said: “He just keeps doing it. Our midfield bossed the game and David was a big part of that, again.”
Beckham praised Brazilian partner Juninho for the 30-yard thunderbolt that opened the scoring.
He said: “Juni’s goal was incredible. I knew if I just put mine in the corner, the keeper wasn’t getting there, simple as that.”
