The Nerazzurri boss is content with his side's acquisitions and exits this summer, despite missing out on a number of high-profile targets such as Lucas Moura and Ezequiel Lavezzi
Andrea Stramaccioni has voiced his approval of Inter's transfer activity in the summer window as he looks to continue rebuilding his team following the exit of several big names.
The likes of Julio Cesar and Maicon, both key figures in the Nerazzuri's treble-winning campaign of two years ago, have departed for pastures new but the young coach is nonetheless pleased with how his new-look squad is shaping up.
"I think we've acted smartly in the transfer market," the 36-year old stated ahead of his team's clash with Roma.
"Sure, we might have missed out on a big signing such as Lucas or Lavezzi, but I think we've laid the foundations of an Inter side that will become great.
"We have rid ourselves of €40 million [£31.7m] worth of salary costs."
Stramaccioni began his career with upcoming opponents Roma but insists that he will approach the game like any other.
"I will not seek any revenge," the capital native added. "For me it will be a lot like the others, it's normal.
"For me personal ties and friendships are important. Tomorrow is Inter-Roma however, and we have to be ready for a great team."
