AVB: I won’t be talking to Mourinho

SPAT PACK ... Andre Villas-Boas and ex-boss Jose Mourinho
TOTTENHAM signed a “special” partnership with Real Madrid this week.
But their manager Andre Villas-Boas admitted that his relationship with the Bernabeu’s Special One is not... er, special any more.
AVB learnt his trade in the game under Real boss Jose Mourinho at Porto, Chelsea and Inter.
But the pair fell out when the “apprentice” left the “master” and his backroom team at the San Siro to take his first job as a No 1 with Portuguese side Academica in 2009.
And Villas-Boas seems to think it is unlikely they will work together again when details of their clubs’ new agreement are ironed out.
The partnership was announced following Luka Modric’s £30million switch from Spurs to Madrid.
AVB said: “It’s a club co-operation. I worked for Jose for five years but we haven’t spoken for quite some time.
“Will I be speaking with him to get some players?
“I haven’t got his number.”
Despite their estranged relationship, Villas-Boas has been dubbed “The Special 2” due to his similarities with Mourinho.
But the new Tottenham chief did not require any help from his mentor to bring in new faces in the transfer window.
Villas-Boas is set to give one of them, Mousa Dembele, his debut at home to Norwich today.
The Belgian playmaker, 25, was signed from Fulham for £15million.
Villas-Boas said: “He trained 100 per cent with us so he is in contention.
“We are very happy with Moussa’s versatility.”
