ANDY CARROLL has been guaranteed a first-team place and £100,000 a week to become West Ham’s main man.
The Hammers clinched a deal for the powerhouse striker with a last-minute promise that he will play when available.
Then they threw in another £10,000 a week as a sweetener.
West Ham boss Sam Allardyce appealed to Carroll’s burning international ambitions to tempt him from Liverpool.
He joins on an initial loan which will become a £17million transfer if the Hammers stay up.
Carroll starts against Fulham today before heading off next week for two World Cup qualifiers.
Allardyce said: “Andy can keep his momentum going in terms of his career because he needs Premier League football.
“We can give him that not just for his own sake but for the sake of his England position.”
