Barcelona starlet Thiago Alcantara is close to returning to full fitness after a lengthy injury lay-off that ruled him out of Spain's poor Olympic tournament.
The gifted youngster joined in with first-team training on Monday, being coached by new boss Tito Vilanova, as the Barca squad begin preparations for the Spanish Supercopa match against rivals Real Madrid.
The international has not featured for the Catalan giants since injuring his tibia during the Copa del Rey final last season.
Thiago has made 41 first-team appearances for Barcelona, scoring on five occasions. The 21-year-old midfielder has also represented his country three times at senior level.
