Dunfermline scored two goals in the last 10 minutes to condemn Airdrie to a 2-1 defeat, their first of the season.

Airdrie had taken the lead through John Boyle's close-range header in the 26th minute.

Airdrie goalkeeper Kenny Arthur kept Airdrie's lead intact two minutes into the second half when he tipped Jordan McMillan's effort from the edge of the area round the post.

But the keeper could not prevent Andy Dowie from levelling the game in the 80th minute. Joe Cardle's inswinging corner from the left was met by a powerful header from Dowie in the six-yard box.

And Dunfermline sealed the points six minutes later as Stephen Husband headed home Ryan Wallace's right-wing cross.
