Morton vs Falkirk preview - Morton without banned Tidser

I have a say

Morton midfielder Michael Tidser will sit out the visit of Falkirk through suspension following his dismissal against Hamilton last Saturday.

Greenock manager Allan Moore may look to use Simon Mensing again as a trialist as Mark McLaughlin is also banned and Kevin Rutkiewicz, Martin Hardie and Peter MacDonald all remain out through injury, although Craig Reid could return.

Moore's side put a stuttering start in the league behind them to run Aberdeen close in the Scottish Communities League Cup in midweek and the Cappielow manager is hoping that they will shine again against the Bairns.

"We had a couple openings against Aberdeen," said Moore.

"While we did not take them we can take a lot of confidence from the display. We are just a win away from a positive feeling here."

Falkirk hope captain Darren Dods will be able to return.

Dods has been restricted to 20 minutes of football by an Achilles injury this season but his condition has improved in recent days.

Bairns boss Steven Pressley said: "Darren nearly made the Rangers game in midweek, however it was decided not to risk him.

"Hopefully we will have his experience on board for what is always a difficult game at Cappielow."

The Bairns are yet to register a point this season, but there is no panic from their manager.

Pressley added: "Our players have given us the effort expected so far and the only one thing I would ask them to do differently is to get on to the end of some of the terrific crosses we are putting over."
