Two goals in stoppage time, one from either side, saw the San Jose Earthquakes first surrender a lead and then grab a late win as the home side topped the visiting Seattle Sounders 2-1 on Saturday.

Simon Dawkins opened the scoring in the 71st minute, but the match really didn't kick into life until after the 90 minute mark.

Fredy Montero banged home a header two minutes into stoppage time to pull his team level and seemingly steal a point, but Steven Lenhart was having none of it.

The big forward answered back with a header of his own a minute later to pull back all three points for the Earthquakes.
