Manuel Pellegrini: Chilean insists that he will not depart Malaga
Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini insists that he will remain with the Spanish club despite their financial problem.
The Andalucian outfit are undergoing what they describe is an "internal restructuring" and have sold key players Jose Salomon Rondon and Santi Cazorla this month.
The future of Pellegrini too has come under speculation, but the Chilean, who led Malaga to a fourth-placed finish in La Liga last season, has now dismissed those reports.
"I'm staying here to help the club through these tough times," he said at a press conference on Friday.
"It's just unfortunate that everything has been left until the last minute.
Unpaid wages
"As soon as the situation is sorted out with the players then I'll stop worrying," he added referring to players' complaints about unpaid wages.
"I feel responsible that some of the team who didn't make an official complaint did so because of me.
"My relationship with the club is a good one. I have no problems staying here and fulfilling my obligations in the future."
