ROAD TO RECOVERY ... Robert Huth
TONY PULIS is a relieved man after hearing Robert Huth is on the road to recovery following his dramatic meningitis scare.
Stoke defender Huth was taken to hospital on Monday, after displaying symptoms of the potentially deadly disease.
However, extensive tests showed the German, 27, is suffering from viral meningitis — the milder form of the illness.
It means Huth could return in a fortnight.
And Stoke boss Pulis said: “Obviously it was a massively worrying time for Robert, his family and everyone at the club.
“I’m just relieved it’s the less serious strand and not the serious strand which doesn’t bear thinking about.”
The news on Huth rounded off a busy day for Pulis, who completed the signings of Wolves winger Michael Kightly for £2million and USA defender Geoff Cameron from Houston Dynamo.
