You’ll go Potty for Stoke, Owen

PETER CROUCH has told Michael Owen: “Don’t see Stoke as a step down from Manchester United.”

Striker Crouch left Tottenham for the Britannia in a club-record £10million deal 12 months ago.

And the England star, 31, insists he has no regrets about swapping life with the London giants for the Potteries.

Stoke boss Tony Pulis hopes to land Owen, 32, who was released by United earlier this summer.

And Crouch says: “Coming to Stoke was never a step down.

“I was really happy the manager could give me games when I was in and out of the Tottenham side.

“I’d rather play a big part in something smaller than be a small part of something bigger.
