Pearce admits Team GB unlikely to compete again

Team GB coach Stuart Pearce has stated his belief that it is unlikely a unified Great Britain team will compete in future Olympic Games.
Daniel Sturridge's missed penalty saw Team GB's hopes of a medal dashed against South Korea on Sunday night, in what was their first Olympic tournament since 1960.
Pearce's men qualified for London 2012 due to their status as hosts and the former Manchester City boss cannot see how a unified team could find the time to qualify.
"The format of Team GB in the Olympics has been fantastic, but I don't think it will happen again," Pearce told BBC Sport.
"Where will we find time to enter the tournament?"
Teams usually qualify through their performance in the European Under-21 Championships, though each home nation competes in this competition individually.
Concerns were raised ahead of London 2012 that the home nations would not be able to compete individually in future though these have been dismissed.
