Naldo on his way to Wolfsburg

Werder Bremen's Brazilian centreback Naldo is due to sign for rival Bundesliga side Vfl Wolfsburg, the two clubs announced on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old former international joined Werder in 2005, and has scored 22 goals, mostly via his trademark freekicks, from 173 appearances.

Naldo, who was under contract with Werder until June 2013, is expected in Wolfsburg on Wednesday to finalise the move.
