Ian Wright meets Mo Farah
GRIN THE MOOD ... Mo Farah is all smiles as he meets his childhood idol Ian Wright

MO FARAH will be gunning for glory at the London Grand Prix tonight when he races over 5,000m in his final outing before the Olympics.

Farah, the 5,000m world champion, is aiming to be the first Brit to ever win an Olympic distance gold at London 2012.

But, aside from athletics, his other sporting passion is Arsenal.

Farah, 26, had never met his childhood hero Ian Wright until SunSport’s GAVIN GLICKSMAN got them together ahead of this summer’s great sporting event to talk about football, track and field and much more...

IAN WRIGHT: When did it all start for you with the Arsenal?

MO FARAH: I grew up in Hanworth in West London and it started from an early age. My dad is a massive Manchester United fan and was always watching them but there was just something about Arsenal.

IW: Which position did you play?

MF: Mate, I haven’t got any skills so I just used to bomb down the wing and try to cross the ball! I either played right-back or right midfield — I was just someone who used to get up and down.
