Junior Hoilett transfer: Newcastle and QPR open talks with wanted winger

Hoilett is a free agent after leaving Blackburn at the end of his contract last month and has had no shortage of interest after sparkling for Rovers last season.
The 22-year-old winger, who can also play up front, scored seven goals in 34 matches last term and grabbed six assists.
Hoilett has long been linked with moves to Arsenal and Chelsea, but he appeared destined for the
Bundesliga in early June after opening talks with Borussia Monchengladbach over a four-year deal.
That transfer broke down and Hoilett has now frantically begun negotiations with Premier League duo Newcastle and QPR.
Alan Pardew is not desperate to wrap up the transfer with Demba Ba set to stay at St James' Park, but the Magpies boss would still like to strengthen his squad.
QPR are more serious, it seems, and are set to meet with the player later this week to continue talks while Sunderland and former club Blackburn are waiting in the wings.
Hoilett, who was born in Canada, would prefer to stay in England as he still harbours ambition of representing England in the future.
