Price has to be right for Mod

UP FOR A MOVE ... Luka Modric
ANDRE VILLAS-BOAS has told Manchester United and Real Madrid: You won’t get Luka Modric on the cheap.
Both clubs want to sign Tottenham’s Croatian sensation, 26, who wants out after Harry Redknapp’s sacking as boss.
But new Spurs manager AVB insists they will only let Mod leave for the right price. Last August, Spurs rejected a £40million bid from London rivals Chelsea for the player.
AVB said: “The interest Luka is getting from a number of different clubs is the same as he got last year. Luka is a player of major importance for the club and that’s why he attracts so many.
“It is in the hands of the chairman to accept the right proposition. Chelsea were involved last year so there is nothing new in the situation. There is interest and the player raises interest.
“If the player’s ambition is to move, we can respect that.
“But there are club interests that the chairman will defend and only when the right offer is met, will there be more news.”
