Jose Reyes is determined to prove his worth for Sevilla in the 2012-13 campaign after talking to head coach Michel about his role in the squad.
The former Arsenal man returned to his boyhood club in January 2012 almost eight years after leaving the Rojiblancos for the Gunners, and Reyes wants to become a key player for the Primera Division side.
"I have spoken to the coach to ask him how he sees my role and to explain to him what I want to mean to the team," Reyes stated to EP.
"He wants me to be an important player for Sevilla and I've promised him that I will give 100 per cent for the team.
"We have a good squad that is united, thanks to the coach. He has rules for all to follow and is doing important work. He's asking a lot from the team, but we will only benefit from it."
The 28-year-old's contract with Sevilla expires in June 2015.
