Maxi Lopez is being tracked by "many clubs," according to agent Andrea D'Amico, who also confirmed that newly-promoted Torino are watching the player.

The 28-year-old striker spent the second half of last season on loan at AC Milan but was sent back to Catania after the Rossoneri decided not to sign him permanently, following a return of two goals in eight matches.

However, D'Amico is not worried about finding a new home for his player.

"Many clubs are following him," he told TuttoSport.

"The transfer market is odd. Sometimes things are resolved quickly, other times at the very end. Many clubs are talking about Maxi with Catania.

"Maxi Lopez's wish is to stay at an important club with an ambitious project. He deserves it."

The agent also commented on rumours that Torino may be interested in the striker, confirming the reports but refusing to commit his player to any one club.

"Yes, Torino likes him too. But who doesn't like a potent and fast striker with an important goal average?"
