Daniel Alves: Barcelona full-back has no desire to leave the Spanish club
Barcelona full-back Daniel Alves has quashed speculating linking him with a move away from Camp Nou.
The 29-year-old full-back joined the club in 2008 from Sevilla and has enjoyed an unprecedented period of success with the Catalan outfit.
His consistent displays over the years have brought him to the attention of free spending Paris Saint Germain, who seem intent to make an impression on the UEFA Champions League with the backing of their Qatari owners.
Alves, though, is unperturbed by the links with the Ligue 1 side and has maintained he is happy in Spain.
Rumours
"I have a contract until 2016 and I intend to see it out," he told Globo Esporte.
"There is a lot of talk about a lot of things, but they are just rumours. There is no substance in them."
Alves' countryman Thiago Silva was recently reportedly the subject of a mammoth 46million euro bid from PSG, which was rejected by his club AC Milan.
It would have made him the most expensive defender in the world had the deal gone through.
Welcomed
The two players recently bumped into each other but Alves declined to ask him about his future, but did admit he would be excited to line up with Silva at club level.
He added: "We didn't have time to talk about his future. He was with his family and I didn't want to bother him.
"But Thiago is a quality player and he would be welcomed at Barcelona."
