Mario Suarez: Has agreed four-year contract extension at Atletico
Atletico Madrid's home-grown midfielder Mario Suarez has agreed a four-year contract extension with the Primera Liga club.
The 25-year-old Suarez, who helped Atletico win the UEFA Europa League last season, is now tied to the Rojiblancos until 2017.
He returned to the capital club in 2010 following two years at Real Mallorca.
The former Spain Under-21 international said: "My dream since I was small has always been to play and succeed at Atletico Madrid, so I'm very happy to continue at the club.
"Although I had to leave the club a few seasons ago, I always had it in my head that I would return to the Vicente Calderon to earn myself a place in this great team and I'm delighted that the club have confidence in me and given me the opportunity to continue here for many years."
